Vikas Gaba is a Partner at KPMG in India, where he leads C&O Energy and Infra team under Business Consulting. In this role, he is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for the sub-service line focused on enhancing business growth, performance improvement, and relationship management with important stakeholders.

Further, as the industry group leader for the Power and Utilities practice at KPMG in India, he defines the strategy and drives the implementation of initiatives to strengthen KPMG in India’s market presence in the sector.

With over 20 years of experience, Vikas is a power and utilities expert who has successfully led and delivered marquee programmes in the sector aggregating to over USD85M across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, countries part of the Southern African Power Pool, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Yemen.

He has extensively engaged with an expansive list of stakeholders in the energy sector including (i) national and subnational government ministries, agencies, and departments; (ii) bilateral and multilateral development institutions – ADB, BHC, FCDO, GIZ, IFC, KFW, The World Bank, etc.; and (iii) private sector entities.

Prior to joining KPMG in India, he was at Mercados Energy Markets India (EMI) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
