The first KPMG Tech Innovator in Finland winner SemiQon specializing in silicon-based quantum processors, won 2nd runner-up position in an intense KPMG Global Tech Innovator final held November 15, 2023 in Lisbon Portugal. There were 22 participating countries whose winners competed in the final. The competition showcased various technological advancements, and SemiQon's recognition reflects its efforts to explore the potential of quantum computing by developing a new type of quantum processor chip made from silicon semiconductors.

SemiQon's participation in the competition caught attention to its approach to quantum processing, offering a mix of scalability, price and sustainability. While the judges recognized the company's work in pushing the boundaries of quantum computing, 2nd runner-up placement highlights one among several players in the evolving landscape of quantum technology.
