KPMG in the Crown Dependencies is proud to announce that its annual Prom Relay event has successfully raised £10,760.36 in support of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, a local charity dedicated to enhancing breast care services on the Isle of Man.

Held on Friday 18 July along Douglas promenade, the Prom Relay brought together hundreds of enthusiastic participants, including corporate teams, community groups, and solo runners. The popular annual event allows teams of two to four runners and individuals to take part in a fun and inclusive 10k relay challenge.

The funds raised will contribute directly to the ongoing efforts of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, which has already raised over £5 million to build and equip a state-of-the-art Breast Screening Unit at Noble’s Hospital.

The charity continues to fundraise to ensure the unit remains at the forefront of care and innovation.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered, and donated”, said Ellie Matthews, who organises the Prom Relay and works at KPMG. “Supporting the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group aligns with our commitment to community wellbeing, and we’re thrilled to see such strong local engagement.”

“The event was made possible thanks to the dedication of KPMG’s citizenship team and our generous sponsors: Capital International, Charterhouse Lombard, Games Global, HSBC, Sleepwell Hotels and Zedra.”

“Thanks must also go to Manx Radio, St John Ambulance, Event Management Solutions and Manx Timing Solutions.”

A spokesperson from the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group commented, “We would like to say a massive thank you to all the team at KPMG. We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen to benefit from their fabulous Prom Relay event. An amazing £10,760.36 was raised on the night all of which will remain on our Island to help fund specialist equipment to help patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Could we also say thank you to all the sponsors of the event, to Manx Radio and everyone who helped and took part in the event.”
