IFRIC Update June 2025 published

On 8 July 2025, the IFRS Interpretations Committee (IFRS IC) published the following (preliminary) agenda decisions regarding the June meeting:

Preliminary agenda decisions

• Determining and Accounting for Transaction Costs (IFRS 9 Financial Instruments)
• Embedded Prepayment Option (IFRS 9 Financial Instruments)

Agenda decisions for submission to the IASB

• Assessing Indicators of Hyperinflationary Economies (IAS 29 Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies)

The agenda decision will be presented to the IASB at its meeting in July 2025 and, if approved by the IASB, will be published in an addendum to this IFRIC update in July 2025.

Based on the replacement of IAS 1 by IFRS 18, draft updates to existing IFRIC agenda decisions were also published.
