Habits make life easier. Sometimes, however, it’s hard to set them aside or initiate a change. Even with updates to their own operating system, companies often encounter organisational resistance. But digital transformation and process automation are more than an update. That’s why it’s important to involve everyone in the change process and get them excited about change.

We’ve helped Deutsche Post DHL automate its HR processes. We’ve also adopted change management to ensure that all employees understand the full benefits and advantages of the new technology.

At the beginning of the project, there was a clearly calculated business case which the economic benefits of potential digitalisation and process automation could be derived from. Together with the management, executives and employees, we then analysed all processes of the HR department. We reviewed which processes and tasks are accessible for optimisation, digitalisation or automation.

Inspire employees with virtual assistants

In addition to recording existing processes and designing the target process, we were then able to promptly initiate the change process and start implementing digital automation solutions. The rapid implementation of virtual assistants was a success factor in the change project. It allowed us to be flexible and agile when responding to special requests from customers during implementation. Another success factor in change processes is communication. We have openly addressed changes and highlighted the benefits of the strategy and changes. Employees are now using the automated processes as naturally as they use their smartphones every day. Deutsche Post DHL is thus developing a corporate culture that will form the basis for future success.

The future belongs to those who prepare for it. We’ll show you what’s important in a digital transformation.
