Frank Wischott is an expert in the International Transaction Tax Team for the real estate, regulated assets and transport/logistics sectors.
He develops tax-optimised strategies for his clients in the acquisition or sale of companies as well as in IPOs, restructurings and refinancings. He is regularly mandated by multinational corporations and financial investors in large and complex M&A transactions where speed and creativity are required. Clients appreciate his ability to integrate other disciplines such as financial due diligence, financial modelling or accounting into his advice.
In recent years, Frank Wischott and his team have mainly advised clients in the areas of real estate (housing companies), regulated assets (renewable energies, transport networks) and shipping.
Frank Wischott advised Deutsche Annington/Vonovia on its refinancing and IPO. He also advised Hapag Lloyd on its merger with Chilean CSAV and on its merger with UASC. Other transactions included:
- Acquisition of Tank & Rast by a consortium of Allianz, MEAG, Borealis and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
- Acquisition of Campeon complex by Infineon
- Advised CPPIB on acquisition of 49% stake in Hohe See and Albatros offshore wind farms
- Advised Örsted on sale of 50% stake in offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund II
