Christian Sonntag

After completing his studies in Hanover, Christian Sonntag joined KPMG in 2006, initially in the audit department. After moving to the tax department in 2010, he is particularly active in the areas of national corporate taxation, tax planning and auditing of annual financial statements.

He has extensive experience in advising family businesses and corporate groups in all areas of tax structuring and declaration advice, especially also in the context of external tax audits and appeal proceedings. Furthermore, Mr Sonntag has many years of expertise in auditing and determining current and deferred taxes in annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS, in particular also for capital market-oriented companies.
