KPMG Legal is expanding to Moravia. The new office in Brno will offer top legal services to clients from all over the region, who now will be able to take full advantage of the close cooperation between their lawyers and KPMG's tax, accounting and other business experts, something not offered by traditional law firms.
The Brno office will be led by Viktor Dušek as Director in cooperation with attorney Tomáš Kočař, both of whom have extensive experience in providing comprehensive legal advisory services. An expert in corporate and commercial law, Dušek also oversees litigation and foreign investment issues at KPMG. Kočař specialises in public sector regulation, competition law, and state subsidy matters. Both have been providing legal services to KPMG’s clients in Moravia for several years. In the new office, they will cooperate with Martin Král, a specialist in tax law and disputes with tax authorities, and Šárka Bližňáková, an expert in subsidy and state aid consulting. The team also includes other legal professionals active in Moravia.

"KPMG Legal already has several important clients in Moravia, and I am glad that we are now closer to them. At the same time, we can more easily provide legal services to clients for whom our Moravian colleagues from KPMG's Tax, Accounting or Advisory departments work. We will benefit from these synergies not only within the Brno teams, but also between Brno, Prague, Ostrava, and nearby Bratislava," said Dušek, who is in charge of the Brno office.
KPMG Legal was established in 2010, and its team is led by Martin Hrdlík. "We have been planning to open another office for more than two years as part of our long-term pro-client growth strategy. Brno was a logical choice because its open approach to new business opportunities and innovation has made it a popular location for companies with international ambitions. We can assist them, e.g., in adapting to new regulatory requirements. But we are also ready to help smaller local companies from any part of Moravia," said Hrdlík.
