KPMG and Frontier Scholarships
The KPMG and Frontier Scholarships are awarded annually by the Partners of KPMG and Frontier Leadership members to high-performing, motivated and empowered Bermudian high school, college, or university students interested in pursuing a long-term career with KPMG.
The Scholarships are awarded to students dedicated to studying for a professional accounting designation (ACCA Global, CPA Canada, CPA US or ACA UK).
The KPMG scholarship is valued at $30,000, per annum for up to four (4) years, with the Frontier scholarship valued at $15,000 for up to three (3) years.
Successful scholarship recipients will have access to all that the Lift off Program offers:
- paid on the job training
- guaranteed summer internship positions,
- mentoring and financial assistance for their professional examinations, as they embark on their elected professional qualifications.
The scholarship recipients will take part in KPMG’s Global Advantage Program, which takes place annually in July, designed to attract top KPMG talent . Travelling to one of our global KPMG offices to attend a four day leadership program to engage in development training, networking with 80 graduates from over 10 countries, historical/cultural activities and client interaction.
KPMG captive scholarship
The newly introduced KPMG captive scholarship, developed in collaboration with the Bermuda Captive Network, focuses on supporting students passionate about a career in captive insurance. Valued at up to $30,000, this scholarship includes a $20,000 cash award and up to $10,000 in-kind support for industry events, providing comprehensive exposure to Bermuda’s thriving captive insurance sector. Scholars gain practical experience through secondments with a captive insurance company, rotating through departments like Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Compliance, as well as KPMG’s own Audit, Tax, and Advisory groups.
In addition to scholars having the same opportunities as the KPMG and Frontier Scholarships, recipients also receive:
- Comprehensive industry exposure: Scholars gain hands-on experience by rotating through KPMG’s Audit, Tax, and Advisory service groups and participating in secondments with a captive insurance company where they work directly with professionals in underwriting, claims, finance, and compliance.
- Networking access: Complimentary entry to key events, such as the Bermuda Captive Conference, allowing scholars to connect with industry leaders.
- Mentorship and support: Each scholar is paired with a career coach and performance manager for ongoing guidance.
