Camilo Rodriguez

Partner in charge of the dispute resolution and litigation, corporate, commercial, M&A, labor, immigration, customs, and foreign exchange practices. He has extensive experience in national and international tax law, customs and exchange law, and specific experience in the negotiation of international agreements.

Camilo also has extensive experience in developing tax and labour compliance work, reviewing tax returns, and responding to the requirements of tax and labour authorities.

Prior to joining KPMG in 2012, he worked at the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) between 1992 and 2010. He was Director of Revenue Management (2011 - 2012); Director of Legal Management, (2008 - 2011); Head of the Legal Office (2004 - 2008); Advisor on Customs Matters at DIAN (1995 - 1997); Deputy Assistant Director Operational (1995); and Director General (E) of DIAN on several occasions.

He has participated in multiple international contracts and has industry experience in the telecommunications and hydrocarbons sectors.

He has been a speaker at various DIAN tax seminars, participated in the seminars of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT) and is an active member of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT) and the IFA (International Fiscal Association).
