The Client

A well-known public sector organisation in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • To formulate strategic goals and development plans to in line with the industry with provision of high-quality and suitable training programmes, and lead the industry to open up development areas on technology application and safety training
  • To lead the operations in delivering inservice training, including a series of signature programmes that designed to enhance industry safety, sustainability, and productivity
  • To strengthen and broaden the network with local stakeholders, including schools, trade unions, trade associations, professional bodies, etc.; Overseas stakeholders and training institutes, including those in Greater Bay Area, other parts of Mainland China, Asian regions, etc.
  • Explore collaboration opportunities such as exchange programmes to enhance the capabilities and exposure of teaching staff and students
  • To oversee the quality and assurance measures of various training programmes to ensure they meet up the required QF standards and be able to reflect market demand and requirements
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director

Requirements

  • Degree in construction / engineering discipline, with qualification in education or vocational training would be an advantage
  • At least 15 years’ post qualification experience in construction management and / education or training with proven record in managing sizeable academic and / or vocational training institutes
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, academic programme development and fiscal planning at universities or sizeable academic / vocational training institutions
  • Excellent networking capabilities and be able to establish strong working relationships with government officials, academics, education professionals, industry practitioners and other key stakeholders
  • Good command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken
