Financial Controller, Financial Services

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at a leading consumer finance company. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5 finance professionals and ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial accounting reports. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and collaborate with other team leads in the finance department to oversee management reporting and treasury reports.

• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and other applicableregulations.
• Manage the month-end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and financial performancemetrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any audit findings.
• Collaborate with other team leads to develop and enhance management reporting frameworks.
• Lead and manage a team of 5 finance professionals, providing guidance, support, andmentorship.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the consumer finance industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
• Possess fluency in written and spoken Chinese, with the ability to accurately read and write financial documents in Chinese.
