Legal and Compliance Deputy General Manager

Our client is a large Chinese conglomerate in Hong Kong.

• Report to the Department Head and Team Head of Legal.
• Coverage includes anti-money laundering, personal data protection, competition and anti-trust regulation, data security, procurement, anti-corruption, contract process management.
• Implement CITIC Group directives, assist in establishing and developing appropriate and effective compliance program, policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and provide regulatory updates and training to business units.
• Monitor business units’ compliance, provide guidance as necessary.
• Compile regular compliance reporting and be a key contact for local and Mainland stakeholders.

• A university degree in Law, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A legal or formal accountancy qualification or professional background in a relevant risk or audit discipline.
• At least 8 years of solid compliance experience working in a sizable company with solid and sound knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• A good understanding of the operational flow and procedures of the business.
• Willingness to take on ad-hoc compliance-related work and projects.
• Strong English and Chinese language skills (spoken and written), including simplified Chinese. Fluent Putonghua is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience dealing with executives at all levels.
