24 March 2025, Hong Kong (SAR), China ("Hong Kong") – KPMG China is proud to announce the launch of the Future Entrepreneur Award to identify and honour visionary entrepreneurs who drive innovation, uphold an entrepreneurial spirit, and collectively advance China’s economic development. The initiative coincides with KPMG’s 80th anniversary in Hong Kong, a testament to the firm’s commitment to the city’s development as a global business and financial hub. Over the past eight decades, we have witnessed first-hand that entrepreneurs are the key drivers behind every successful business. The launch also aligns with the Wealth for Good in Hong Kong Summit, which underscores Hong Kong’s role in channelling global wealth for positive change.

The Future Entrepreneur Award is centred around the theme of ‘evaluating the present and leading the future’. It emphasises the importance of continuity, breakthroughs, and innovation. The award includes four categories: ‘Future Entrepreneur of the Year’, ‘Excellent Family Business Future Entrepreneur’, ‘Outstanding Emerging Future Entrepreneur’, and ‘Extraordinary Female Future Entrepreneur’. Winners in each category will be chosen based on an evaluation of their strategy, innovation, governance, business performance, social responsibility and more. This ensures that recognition is given not solely for economic achievements, but also for the positive impact made on society.

The initiative is particularly timely given the recent discussions during the National Two Sessions, where promoting the growth of the private economy emerged as a key issue. Indeed, the private sector's role as a key driver of economic development is even more critical in today's challenging geopolitical landscape.
