This report, jointly authored by KPMG China and the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA), analyses growth opportunities and the long-term outlook for Hong Kong’s fund management industry, based on a survey of HKIFA member institutions and in-depth interviews with senior industry executives.

The report finds that despite some challenges ahead, survey respondents and interviewees have a positive outlook for the future of Hong Kong’s fund management industry. This positive outlook is driven by growth opportunities related to the opening up of mainland China’s asset management industry, the ongoing development of the Greater Bay Area, advances in technology-enabled client experiences and ESG investing.
