Lachlan leads several projects on the VAT reforms, and related business tax issues, for a large number of multinational clients. He is a member of KPMG’s global leadership team for indirect taxes, and is the Asia Pacific regional leader for indirect taxes for KPMG.
Lachlan is regularly invited to provide his expertise to the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation in China in relation to the VAT reform program. He has also co-authored the leading textbook on capital gains tax in Australia, as well as authoring chapters for textbooks on income tax and GST.
Lachlan assisted clients in a wide range of sectors with similar tax reforms in Australia in the year 2000, and he is applying many of those experiences with clients in China.
