Frank Richter is a Partner and Head of DPP IFRS.
As specialist in international accounting and reporting, Frank helps clients and engagement teams solve complex accounting issues under IFRS.
Frank launched his career in Germany and joined KPMG in 2007. He is a German certified auditor and a Swiss licensed audit expert who has gained a wealth of experience auditing separate and consolidated financial statements of private and listed companies of various sizes and from various industries. As a consultant, he helps his clients transition to IFRS, implement new IFRS standards, prepare financial statements (separate, consolidated and carve-out financial statements), coordinate business combinations (and disposals) and resolve complex accounting issues. Frank additionally provides expert opinions on accounting issues.
From 2015 to 2017, Frank was seconded to KPMG’s International Standards Group in London, where he tackled international accounting issues, analyzed new developments under IFRS and prepared targeted guidance on these issues for clients and teams. His work in London focused on leases and business combinations.
Frank is Vice Chair to KPMG’s technical leases team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He represents KPMG in the EXPERTsuisse Commission for True and Fair View Accounting and lectures at the University of Zurich.
Frank has detailed, in-depth knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP. He writes articles and gives lectures about accounting-related issues on a regular basis.
