Marta Porodko is an Associate in the Tax Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of taxpayer representation.

Marta has represented clients in appeals before the Tax Court of Canada and various tribunals and has worked on complex tax litigation cases involving issues such as the General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), sham, and loss utilization. Marta also assists clients with all aspects of the Canada Revenue Agency dispute resolution process, including preparing responses to audit queries, notices of objection, and taxpayer relief applications. Marta values giving back and is involved in the firm’s pro-bono initiative.

Marta completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa where she was actively involved in her student community. While in law school, Marta served as the president of several student groups. In her final year, Marta participated in Davies’ Annual Corporate/Securities Law Moot where she and her teammates received the award for best factum. Prior to attending law school, Marta earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Criminology and Psychology, with distinction, from the University of Toronto.
