Neil is a Partner in KPMG Law LLP’s tax law practice. He has over 15 years of experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border income tax matters.
Neil’s practice focuses on tax planning and advising on the tax-related aspects of cross-border transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructurings, divestitures, financings, business succession and executive compensation. He also has experience in assisting clients with the resolution of Canadian tax audits and appeals. Clients value Neil for his sound business judgment, wealth of knowledge and ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters.
Neil frequently speaks and writes on income tax matters and is an active member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian branch of the International Fiscal Association, the American Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto. He is also a co-editor of, and frequent contributor to, Federated Press’ International Tax Planning journal.
Prior to joining KPMG, Neil practiced in the tax groups of two leading Canadian law firms.
