Vincent specializes in litigating tax cases. He has represented taxpayers against federal and provincial tax authorities in cases before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Court of Quebec (administrative division), the Quebec Superior Court (civil and commercial divisions), the Quebec Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
At KPMG Law, Vincent’s focus is on offering pragmatic and innovative tax advice to his clients. He has worked on several tax files from the audit stage up to appearing before the courts. His knowledge and skills are based on a clear understanding of complex tax issues and the application and practical solutions in resolving them.
Vincent’s areas of expertise include income tax, GST/HST/QST, registered plans source deductions, collection measures, judicial reviews and voluntary disclosures.
Vincent has extensive experience in the fields of taxation and the regulatory environment for charities and other tax-exempt organizations, including public sector entities, for which his services have been retained to advise, negotiate and make representations to the tax authorities with respect to audit matters (including GST and QST issues) and charitable registration.
