Katie Dunphy

KPMG in Canada

Katie is a Partner in KPMG’s ESG practice and since joining the firm in 2007, has helped to build a national client service practice which is embedded across Audit, Tax and Advisory groups. She has worked in KPMG in Spain’s Madrid office and KPMG in Canada’s Toronto office.

Her work has included design and implementation of ESG strategy, policy and governance. Katie works with a diverse client industry array including institutional investors, banking and insurance, mining, telecommunications and real estate and has led a number of ground-breaking, multi-year projects. Her experience includes ESG due diligence, climate-related risk and opportunity assessment and integration in investment processes, and she has worked on behalf of several large global companies in completing social compliance audits and implementation of industry standard frameworks to address ESG risks.

Prior to joining KPMG, Katie spent three years managing international development projects and microfinance initiatives across the African continent and in Latin-America.

Katie holds a Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, an International Master of Sustainable Development from the Escuela de Organizacion Industrial (EOI), Spain, and has recently completed the Competent Boards certificate program.
