Joseph is a tax lawyer at KPMG Law whose practice focuses on advising private enterprises, business owners, entrepreneurs and families on sophisticated Canadian tax planning matters. He works with clients at all stages of the business lifecycle, providing practical, commercially grounded advice that supports growth, transactions, and long term succession objectives.
His experience spans complex reorganizations, owner manager planning, mergers and acquisitions, and tax controversy matters. Joseph regularly works as part of integrated advisory teams with accountants and other legal advisors to ensure tax considerations are aligned with broader legal, financial, and business objectives.
Joseph brings a pragmatic approach to tax law, balancing technical rigour with an understanding of how businesses operate in practice. He is particularly focused on delivering clear, actionable advice in complex situations.
Joseph earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was a NCAA Division I soccer player. He has also completed CPA Canada’s In Depth Tax Program.
