      Jessica is a Partner in KPMG Law’s Workplace Law group and Lead, Workplace Investigations. Jessica leads the workplace investigation team in the Workplace Law group and is a seasoned employment and labour lawyer.

      After her call to the Ontario Bar, Jessica acted as labour relations counsel for a municipal police union and then a large acute-care health system. She then moved to private management‑side practice at a global law firm as Counsel. Following this, Jessica joined a leading professional services organization to build its Employment and Labour practice. Jessica has appeared in hundreds of labour arbitrations and administrative law proceedings.

      Jessica is an experienced workplace investigator and has been involved in a large number of workplace investigations. She is an AWI Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and has certificates from RT Institute on conducting workplace assessments and sexual harassment and violence investigations.

      Jessica has provided external training on various topics related to workplace investigations including reluctant witnesses, bias, procedural fairness, and general best practices. Jessica taught labour law at Osgoode Hall from 2012 to 2016, and labour advocacy at the University of Ottawa Law School in 2022.

      Professional and industry experience

      Jessica has experience conducting a broad range of workplace investigation and assessments for federally and provincially regulated employers and organizations including public sector and private sector clients.

      Some of the sectors Jessica has experience conducting investigations for includes: provincial Crown corporations, provincial government agencies, education institutions, sports organizations, federal Crown corporations, international manufacturing organization, and international data center organization.
