      Yara Ismail is an Associate in the Tax Law group at KPMG Law in Canada who advises individuals, businesses, and private corporations on a range of corporate and dispute related legal matters. Her practice spans corporate law, commercial litigation and dispute resolution, estate planning, and family law.

      Yara advises on corporate compliance matters, cross‑border transactions and restructurings, and estate and tax planning. She also supports individuals and families on family law matters, including domestic contracts.

      In addition, Yara brings a strong litigation background and is regularly involved in representing clients before various levels of court, including the Court of Appeal. She advises on complex and often sensitive disputes, providing practical, risk‑aware guidance informed by a practical understanding of litigation risk. Her work includes shareholder and contractual disputes, fraud and misrepresentation claims, corporate reorganizations, real estate- and construction‑related disputes, defamation matters, and other commercial and corporate matters.
