Kyle Friesen is a Partner in our Winnipeg Tax practice, specializing in private company sell side divestiture planning, business transitions, and corporate reorganizations. He works closely with private business owners, shareholders, and management teams to structure transactions that maximize after tax value, manage execution risk, and support successful ownership transitions.
A significant component of Kyle’s practice is focused on tax efficient exit planning, including pre sale reorganizations, transaction structuring, and post transaction planning. He has extensive experience advising privately owned corporations on acquisitions and regularly guides clients through all stages of the transaction lifecycle—from early planning through execution. He also advises on corporate reorganizations and internal restructurings to improve tax efficiency, facilitate business transitions, and position organizations for strategic transactions. His work spans a broad range of clients, including private and public companies, entrepreneurs, and family-owned businesses.
As a member of KPMG’s National M&A & Divestiture Tax Group and National Private Company Tax Team, Kyle stays current on emerging tax issues, legislative developments, and evolving planning techniques—and applies those insights directly to client engagements.
