Steve Woodward

Steve leads KPMG Enterprise which provides assurance and advisory services to a wide range of local and international clients based in Bermuda outside of the reinsurance and banking sectors. He acts as audit engagement leader for many of Bermuda’s most prestigious local businesses and internationally listed companies, as well as a number of international shipping, aircraft leasing and energy companies headquartered in Bermuda. Steve has also provided internal audit risk compliance, corporate governance and advisory services to several Bermuda organizations in the public and private sectors.

Steve is Treasurer of the Bermuda Zoological Society and is the leader of KPMG’s Head of People and the Chair of KPMG’s Corporate Citizenship Committee. He is also a Bermuda Chamber of Commerce Board Director.

Engagement experience

• Steve has over 10 years of UK auditing experience across a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from family-owned businesses to FTSE-100 listed companies.  His UK clients listed included Pirelli UK, Centrica, New Look, B&Q and BAE Systems. He has been involved in a number of significant non-auditing assignments including due diligence reviews and initial public offerings on the London and Frankfurt stock exchanges.
• Has served as lead audit engagement partner on a number of public and private Bermuda domiciled companies.
• Steve acts as an accredited IFRS reviewing partner for Bermuda engagements. He has lead several IFRS conversion engagements for Bermuda publicly accountable entities.
• Engagement partner on internal control and SOX implementation for a Bermuda listed utility company.
• Significant experience in advising businesses in Bermuda with respect to regulatory obligations, including international and Bermuda regulations.
