At KPMG, we believe in the importance of involving our young professionals in sustainable business initiatives, providing them with opportunities to speak up and share their ideas on strategic topics. By empowering the next generation of talent to contribute their insights, we foster innovation and ensure that sustainability remains a core pillar of our firm’s long-term strategy.

Through our Community of Young Professionals (CoYP), a group of 25 enthusiastic employees, we bring together early-career talent with a shared passion for making a difference. This community plays an important role in shaping key areas of the KPMG Impact Plan, including Environmental Impact, Social Inclusion, and Collective Wellbeing. The CoYP is organized into three Hubs: (1) Eco & Green Hub, (2) Unity & Empowerment Hub, and (3) Wellbeing & Growth Hub:

  • The mission of the Eco & Green Hub is to champion environmental sustainability, raise awareness about the urgent need for eco-conscious actions, and actively engage the broader community in eco-friendly initiatives.
  • The purpose of the Unity & Empowerment Hub is to bring people together, inspire them to act, and create a more inclusive, resilient, and vibrant community.
  • The Wellbeing & Growth Hub focuses on fostering personal and collective growth, and holistic wellbeing within KPMG. This Hub aims to provide opportunities to develop personally and professionally, maintain physical health, and actively participate in initiatives that make a positive impact on our people and the wider community.

Examples of CoYP projects:

  • Impact Plan Month: to encourage employee awareness & participation around our KPMG Impact Plan.
  • Winter Market: held annually to foster community spirit & support charity work by the Warmste Week of StuBru.
  • Saint-Nicholas Toy Collection: to encourage charitable giving by collecting toys for children in poverty during the Saint-Nicholas season, in collaboration with the food bank.
  • Collaborating with YouthStart to support underprivileged youth by providing them with entrepreneurial skills and resources.
  • Blood Donation: organized several times a year in collaboration with the Red Cross.

This Community is our way of empowering young professionals to contribute fresh ideas and take active roles as ambassadors of sustainable business within KPMG and beyond. Together, we’re committed to inspiring confidence, empowering change, and building a better, more sustainable future for all.
