Every year radio station Studio Brussel organizes De Warmste Week, a fund drive to help thousands of worthy causes. This year we continue participating with the theme ‘Mobility for Life’.

Over the past 2 years, we’ve introduced a mobility program and made moves to three mobility hubs including Brussels Airport, Antwerp-Berchem and Hasselt. Why? Because it is our mission to reduce our environmental impact, reduce traffic congestion in our communities and increase accessibility for our people and clients.

During the ‘Warmste Week 2019’ KPMG donated €5 per day, per employee that adopted a sustainable mobility solution from a range of options. This stems from our established mobility program with which our people manage their own mobility budget from a range of options. The Flex Reward Tool was designed by KPMG and, since its launch, has led to a reduction of over 1.657.000 kilometers of driving, equating to a reduction of more than 172 metric tons of CO2 emissions for our country.

All funds we raised during this week – € 5 395 in total – were donated to YouthStart Belgium. YouthStart is a non-profit organization focusing on integrating youth and young adults experiencing difficulties in the professional & social world. YouthStart’s mission is to teach these opportunity-seeking young individuals entrepreneurial skills, offering them the possibility to realize their ambitions.

Our donation to YouthStart Belgium this year reflects our fundamental belief in giving back to the communities in which we work, acting as committed corporate citizens. We have chosen to support YouthStart as education and entrepreneurial spirit are important pillars of our strategy. We are proud to work closely together with YouthStart to develop the talents of young individuals.
