Matthew has over 25 years’ experience in budgeting, accounting, financial frameworks and financial systems, and works closely with CFOs and their teams to assist with the delivery of finance function. He works with clients to identify resource prioritisation opportunities, and is experienced in management reporting, the production of financial statements and providing advice on technical accounting issues.
Matthew provides assistance with the establishment of new agencies and their governance arrangements, including the implementation of policies and procedures, and corporate plans. Matthew also undertakes strategic financial reviews of government entities.
In previous roles, Matthew was the former CFO of two Commonwealth departments and has worked in senior roles, also within the Commonwealth government. He has a wealth of experience in delivering financial management across large government portfolios and at the whole-of-government level.
