Brendan is a practice lead in our Technology Enablement group, where he works shoulder-to-shoulder with clients to help bridge complex business challenges with technology.
Brendan brings over 20 years of experience across all aspects of technology, from strategy to systems implementation to IT sourcing, and commercial to IT risk management.
He started his career in systems implementation shortly after the dot com bubble. Not long after that a number of high profile corporate collapses saw him working in Australia and the USA helping clients better manage IT risks. The global financial crisis in 2007 opened opportunities in the technology sourcing space that leveraged Brendan’s chartered accounting background and fuelled his passion to optimise and make technology operations more efficient.
Fast forward a few years and the proliferation of mobile, cloud and agile meant Brendan’s focus pivoted to mobile device, cloud and DevOps strategies and the IT operating model implications of these. A common thread throughout his experience has been to use data to simplify and support a fact-based approach to management decision-making.
Brendan is now focused on developing the data strategies and execution approaches for organisations that are separating or integrating businesses. This is achieved by deploying proven KPMG tools and methods, supported by an exceptionally talented team of hands-on consultants that not only know tech, but also understand business drivers to deliver innovative, risk managed, solutions.
