Walter is a Partner in the Advisory practice of KPMG in the Lower Gulf with a particular focus on the financial services, energy and telecommunications sectors. His current leadership role entails assisting clients in their growth and business transformation strategies, risk management and internal control optimisation initiatives. Walter has been with KPMG for 24 years, four of which have been spent in the Canadian practice of KPMG's Risk and Advisory Services division and prior to that, two years in the firm's UK financial sector practice. Walter has led over 100 consulting projects over the past 24 years that have focused specifically on risk management, internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR), data governance, anti-money laundering (AML) systems reviews, information risk management, operational risk, project and programme assurance.
