Shahnawaz Nakhoda

Shahnawaz Nakhoda is a partner in Audit at KPMG Lower Gulf. He specializes in providing audit services to clients in the real estate, transport, logistics and retail sectors. He has over 20 years of post-qualified experience providing financial statement audit services in the UAE and UK. Shahnawaz is the engagement partner on the group audits of DP World Limited, Nakheel PJSC, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Dubai World and Al Batha Group. He is also responsible for leading the audit of several large family owned groups in the UAE whose principal activities are related to retail, real estate and property. 

Shahnawaz has been involved in providing capital market advisory services for equity and bond listing in the UAE and UK and has experience in providing professional audit services to listed companies in accordance with listing requirements and IFRS. He also leads the Extended Assurance service offering which includes technology , valuations and sustainability. 

Shahnawaz is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science with Mathematics) from the University of Bristol, UK.
