Sudhir is a Partner at KPMG Lower Gulf Limited leading the energy, infrastructure and industrial manufacturing sectors within the firm’s Advisory Practice. He leads KPMG’s Governance, Risk and Solutions group and has a particular interest in board and audit committee governance matters, risk management priorities and technology-driven advancements in internal audits. With over 25 years of experience in managing several large risk consulting, corporate governance and business process improvement engagements, Sudhir oversaw large advisory and risk consulting activities for key regional and global clients within the industry. He is involved in techno-commercial and major projects advisory reviews with a clear objective of value generation and assurance. Sudhir has led the internal audit of a large petrochemical organization for over five years, covering all core and support processes including production, sales and marketing and finance. He was involved in various material management engagements comprising the reengineering of the entire procurement system and business performance improvement studies for the organization. In addition, he has led the risk management and reporting framework for a leading support services company within the oil and gas sector where he enabled the identification of action and process owners, and developed a risk reporting structure for the company. He also facilitated risk assessment workshops with various division managers to prioritize risks, map existing controls and identify action plans to mitigate control deficiencies. Throughout his career, Sudhir has been in charge of the risk assessment and internal audit execution of a large Abu Dhabi Government entity. The assignment involved training the entity’s internal audit staff. All the main sections within the governmental unit were reviewed and the reports were presented to the client covering process-related improvements and recommendations. He has also led a large corporate governance engagement for a big oil and gas company in the UAE. The scope of work for this project included developing policies and procedures including DoA for core functions within the business. Sudhir holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA in finance.
