With more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology and tax, Abad specializes in delivering large-scale transformation and intelligent automation programs that elevate the performance of tax and finance functions across Asia and the EMEIA region. His approach centers on driving process efficiency, optimizing performance, and mitigating risk through the strategic application of technology.
As a qualified systems engineer embedded within the tax function, Abad combines technical depth with tax domain expertise to support multinational corporations in achieving their digital transformation goals. His work spans IT strategy, technology consulting, and ERP optimization, with a strong focus on AI, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies.
Abad previously served as Partner in KPMG in South ASPAC Group Tax Reimagined practice based in Singapore. He led technology transformation efforts and promoted the responsible integration of innovation within tax functions. He is also a leader in the development of KPMG’s market-leading BEPS Pillar 2 technology solution, KBAT (KPMG BEPS Automation Tool), helping clients stay ahead in an increasingly complex and evolving international tax landscape.
Throughout his career, Abad has worked with leading organizations such as Aramco, PETRONAS, BP and Pfizer delivering transformative outcomes tailored to their industry and regulatory environments.
