Reinsurance industry results

The latest insurance sector data published by the South African Reserve Bank indicates that there are eight professional reinsurers as at December 2021. In this year’s survey, we analyse the results of four registered reinsurers in the South African market, representing approximately 64% of the market. These results include three composite reinsurers, and one composite branch.
