The survey reflects that the South African private equity industry has a total of R165.3 billion in funds under management (FUM). This is a R15.0 billion increase from the R150.3 billion in FUM at 31 December 2014

Though appearing relatively small in comparison to the global equity industry, the Southern African industry is reputable and locally significant. The survey reflects a total of R165.3 billion in funds under management (FUM) in the Southern Africa private equity industry, showing a R15.0 billion increase from the R150.3 billion in FUM at 31 December 2014.

Further substantiating the potential of the local private equity industry, it achieved a compound annual growth rate of 11.9 percent in total FUM since the survey commenced in 1999.
