ASISA Factsheet

The Effective Annual Cost (EAC) measure was developed by the Association for Savings and Investment in South Africa (ASISA). With this measure, ASISA aims to fulfil its objective of ensuring that consumers receive the necessary information required for their investment decisions.

The EAC will allow users to compare the charges of different investment products so they can see what impact this will have on the investment value. It also provides a level of transparency and clarity that consumers did not previously have access to.

This factsheet details the scope of the EAC and provides an overview of its key requirements.
