Nikki is an admitted attorney in the Tax and Legal practice of KPMG. Nikki specialises in South African data protection law, competition law and commercial law. Since joining KPMG in 2005, Nikki has advised a number of high profile companies in various industries, including telecommunications, technology, mining, insurance, fast-moving consumer goods, automotive, plastics, paper and metals, amongst others. In the area of data protection, Nikki has conducted number of extensive data protection audits on the business operations of clients with specific reference to the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPI”), drafting of legal opinions, compliance policies and agreements (including cross border information transfer agreements) and presenting training to management and staff. Nikki is a member of the KPMG Global Privacy Practice and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
