Paresh started off his career in 1991 at a medium sized audit practice in Cape Town, where he completed his external audit articles whilst at the same time qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995. During his articles he gained valuable experience in servicing clients in all their specific needs, which created the base for his broad knowledge on audit, tax and advisory services. He then joined KMMT, a black owned company specialising in audit and advisory services, which later merged with KPMG and he has been a partner at KPMG ever since 1999. He is currently a partner with KPMG Advisory Services. Whilst he started his career in audit, he now specialises in internal audit, risk and compliance services. He is also the Chief Operating Officer for the Advisory business of KPMG South Africa.
