Tanya Engels

Tanya provides international corporate tax advice to companies in a wide range of industries. Her areas of specialisation include the restructuring of businesses, mergers and acquisitions and the provision of due diligence services, inbound and outbound investment, the tax treatment of controlled foreign companies and the interpretation of double tax agreements. She regularly provides advice to private equity funds and investment funds on tax-efficient legal and operational cross-border structures. Tanya also currently has a specific focus on inbound investment in the renewable energy industry, advising on the structuring of such investments and ways to maximize the tax efficiencies thereof, be it hydro, solar or wind power generation. Tanya regularly presents seminars on tax technical topics, both internally within KPMG and to clients.
