Jim is a Senior Consultant at KPMG in the Netherlands, working in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy team with a strong focus on the public sector. He advises clients on cyber strategy development, risk management and business continuity. With extensive experience in international cyber capacity building, Jim has built a well-connected international network. In addition to leading the cyber capacity building team, he also works as a trainer on the topic of Cyber Resilient Ecosystems, introducing ecosystemic thinking as a new perspective on dealing with cybersecurity at both corporate and societal levels. Before joining KPMG, Jim worked for the municipality of Amsterdam, where he played a key role in implementing the Digital Security Agenda, launched in 2019. As an advisor to the Digital Security Task Force, part of the Chief Technology Office, he focused on building partnerships between public and private entities to enhance the digital resilience of the municipality and the metropolitan area. Jim also contributed to developing innovative products and services to improve digital security for citizens, entrepreneurs and visitors. Furthermore, Jim's dedication to innovation is evident in his current involvement in developing cutting-edge concepts within the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice. A prime example is his work on creating a comprehensive framework for managing disinformation risks.
