What is Vietnam’s International Financial Centre (IFC)
Vietnam officially announced the establishment of its International Financial Centre last Sunday, December 21, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the country’s financial reform agenda. The IFC follows a “one center, two destinations” model with dual hubs in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang. Ho Chi Minh City is designated as the large‑scale financial gateway focusing on capital markets, banking, fund management, and global capital connectivity. Meanwhile, Danang is positioned as an innovation‑driven center specializing in fintech, wealth management, and green finance. Together, the two cities form Vietnam’s strategic blueprint to attract international institutions and elevate the country’s position in regional finance.
