The provincial budgets for Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island were released on 29 February 2024. While none of the budgets include new changes to the corporate tax rates, there are some proposed tax changes (see links below for more information).
- Alberta: The budget proposes a new CA$200 annual tax on electric vehicles and a one-time refundable tax credit for certain employed individuals who move to Alberta. - Prince Edward Island: The budget includes proposals to change the personal income tax bracket thresholds and corresponding tax rates, and to increase the basic individual income tax exemption to $14,250 (from $13,500) for 2025.
