Marc Scher is a Partner in KPMG’s U.S. and Global Audit Healthcare practice. He has worked with a wide range of major health systems, long-term care providers, hospitals, biotech companies, payers, purchasing cooperatives and research organizations.
With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector, his areas of expertise include healthcare transformation, financial reporting, auditing, board governance, risk assessment and tax-efficient financing.
In addition, he is an SEC reviewing partner and a national instructor for KPMG healthcare professional development courses and a member of the Global Healthcare Center of Excellence.
Marc has served as Chairman of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Principles & Practices Board and was past editor of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Audit and Accounting Guide for Health Care Organizations.
Marc has a Bachelor’s degree is from the University of Wisconsin and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the states of California, Illinois and New York.
