David Gordon
Global Head of Tax
David Gordon became Global Head of Tax at GlaxoSmithKline plc ("GSK") in October 2017, having previously been Head of Tax for GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Prior to joining GSK, David worked for more than 15 years at KPMG, where he was a senior member of the Private Equity Group, focusing on advising on UK and International M&A transactions for a number of large leveraged buy-out and mid-market private equity houses.
As Global Head of Tax at GSK, David has responsibility for the global tax affairs of GSK, setting the tax strategy and ensuring that the group has a transparent and standardised approach to tax management throughout its supply chain and across all legal entities in the group. David also leads GSK's relationship with key external tax bodies, including HMRC, the IRS and HM Treasury, and has recently been invited to chair HMRC and HM Treasury’s Business Tax Forum.
David is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has a first-class honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Accountancy.
