Marcos Cortes is an accomplished specialist in the field of Life Sciences, equipped with a diverse background in Pharmaceutical Management, Policy, and Outcome. With nearly three decades of consulting experience since 1992, he has devoted the past 13 years to M&A Strategy.

As part of the exceptional team at KPMG Deal Advisory & Strategy, Marcos is committed to assisting Global LS clients in executing both inorganic and organic growth strategies. He adeptly manages a range of initiatives concerning mergers, acquisitions, and carve-outs throughout the entire lifecycle, from due diligence to post-closing activities.

Additionally, Marcos is an expert in M&A Gross-to-Net transitions and Anti-trust M&A regulation, leveraging his extensive knowledge to help clients navigate complex regulatory environments with ease. He has made significant contributions to the industry by designing innovative solutions like the Deal Product Perimeter - a single, comprehensive product database that captures and offers an in-depth understanding of the assets in question.

Before joining KPMG, Marcos led a strategic cross-functional internal Mergers and Acquisitions organization at Siemens. During his tenure, he managed a portfolio of separation and integration projects, advised internal clients on the establishment of Integration Management Office, advanced Integration Concepts such as Legal Entity Rationalization, Day one planning, and TSA’s. Marcos also spearheaded pre- and post-merger activities across various functional workstreams and played a vital role in driving the success of the organization.
