IRS invites recommendations for items to be included on 2023-2024 Priority Guidance Plan
The IRS today released an advance version of Notice 2023-36 that invites recommendations for items to be included on the 2023-2024 Priority Guidance Plan.

The Priority Guidance Plan is used by the IRS and Treasury Department each year to identify and prioritize tax issues to be addressed through regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, notices, and other published administrative guidance.
The 2023-2024 Priority Guidance Plan will identify guidance projects that the Treasury Department and the IRS intend to actively work on as priorities during the period from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. Recommendations for guidance items to be included in the initial iteration of the 2023-2024 Priority Guidance Plan are requested to be submitted by June 9, 2023.
