The Act on ratification of the “Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting” (Multilateral Instrument or MLI) by Bulgaria was promulgated in the Bulgarian State Gazette issue 47 dated 24 June 2022.
Bulgaria has yet to deposit its instrument of ratification of the MLI with the OECD’s Secretary-General. The MLI will enter into effect for Bulgaria on or after 1 January of the year following the year in which a three-month period from the date of such deposit has elapsed.
