United States to ban imports of Russian oil, liquefied natural gas, and coal
President Biden today signed an executive order [PDF 92 KB] that bans:
- Importation into the United States of Russian crude oil and certain petroleum products, liquefied natural gas, and coal
- New U.S. investment in Russia’s energy sector
U.S. persons and entities are also prohibited from financing or enabling foreign companies that are making investment to produce energy in Russia.
