India: GST amnesty program for Maharashtra State

A tax amnesty program in Maharashtra State (the state where Mumbai is located) provides for the resolution of tax arrears, interest, penalties or late fees relating to state-level goods and services tax (GST).

Under the program, amnesty is available for an eligible tax liability for any period ending on or before 30 June 2017.

The program’s effective date is 1 April 2022.
